Hi, I’m Margaret! I’m a designer and poster illustrator based in Tennessee. My creative practice spans both digital and traditional formats, often blending the two to create unique and dynamic compositions. My illustrations are deeply inspired by music, as well as the realms of sci-fi and fantasy - recurring themes that influence much of my work. I aim to capture the energy and imagination of these genres, infusing each piece with a sense of narrative and emotion that resonates with the viewer. Whether it's through vibrant colors, intricate details, or imaginative compositions, my art seeks to transport you to otherworldly realms and evoke a sense of wonder.

"Space + Time" explores the symbiotic relationship between Science and Fiction. Science Fiction has taken inspiration from scientific advancements and technology as long as it has existed. One could say science has taken inspiration from sci-fi as well, as sci-fi works have worked as catalysts for advancements in scientific discoveries and technological advancements.My capstone project explores this concept in a playful and thought invoking way, featuring informational posters, timeline booklets, custom figurines with playful and informational packaging, an interactive journal for participants to share responses in, a large promotional movie-style poster, a promotional t-shirt, and several buttons and stickers for viewers to take home.
